My name is Michael. I used to be a brewer. Sometimes, I still feel like I am, but it’s been a couple years now since I’ve made beer. The work is long, and requires a physical stamina that is increasingly in short supply, not mention that it is not nearly as glamorous as Instagram and Untappd make it out to be. So I took a break and focused on raising two kids and learning how to cook for a family of four. Turns out that, too, requires long days, extensive physical (and mental) stamina, and again, is not nearly as glamorous as Instagram makes it out to be.
To shake things up a bit I started hosting a weekly pub trivia event at a tasting room in Portland and found I really enjoyed it. Naturally, the gig dried up at the start of the pandemic so with the help of my partner, we were able to migrate our format to a virtual game. The game ended up being so fun, that people said they would pay me to play this game with their co-workers, or for charity events. Go figure.
So here we are. Super legit with a name, and a website, and everything.
